My name is Jen and I am a daughter, a wife, a mom, an aunt; I could go on and on... I have a large family and they are everything to me.
I grew up in Rhode Island, played soccer, cheerleaded and had an annual beach pass every summer. At 18, I ventured to Connecticut to attend Fairfield U. I met my very best friends and one night, at a wild party, my future husband.
After college, I spent some time working in the insurance industry and lived outside of Hartford.
As soon as I was able to convince my husband that Rhode Island was thebomb.com, we moved to Bristol and never looked back.
Shortly after, our first little prince came along, Jack; followed quickly by our second little prince, Jameson. Everything felt very "right" in our world...
In September of 2014, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Mantle Cell Lymphoma. I went through 6 months of chemo followed by a stem cell transplant.
Since then, I've focused my life on making healthy choices in the kitchen and balancing that with appropriate workouts.
After all, you only have one body to live in... you better take care of it.
